Pascual Polabí s.r.o. was co-founded in early 2006 by the Pascual Hermanos company.
Growing leafy greens is the company’s primary focus. Its main products include iceberg lettuce, Little Gem and celery sticks. Lettuce is harvested by special harvesting machines and subsequently cooled in a vacuum cooler to achieve a temperature of 2–4 °C in about 40 minutes to keep the product fit for transport and preserve its freshness.
Lettuce growing and harvesting:
Seedlings are planted into growing beds between March and August, depending on the weather.
In our climate conditions, harvesting usually begins in May and ends during the month of October. Harvesting is done with harvesting/packing rigs, where
the produce is immediately prepared for sale/market, i.e. packed in a bag and placed into cardboard packaging or boxes, directly in the field.
Together with Pascual Polabí s.r.o., Pěstitel Stratov a.s. is another member of the G’s CZECH corporate group engaging in vegetable farming; it specialises in growing bulb onions, sweet corn and pumpkins. Onions are grown from the winter and spring sowing.
The produce is then marketed and sold by G’s Marketing Central Europe s.r.o. as a trade organisation.
