Montano Valtr was founded by Josef Valtr in the 1990s.<\/p>\n

The tradition of horticulture in our region dates back to the 1930s. In 1979, the Joint Agricultural Enterprise (Spole\u010dn\u00fd zem\u011bd\u011blsk\u00fd podnik, SZP) for vegetable farming was established with the goal of pursuing horticulture on an ongoing basis. Montano Valtr and Zahradnictv\u00ed Litol were the two companies to follow in SZP\u2019s footsteps in the early 1990s. Initially, the two companies would primarily grow vegetable seedlings, with seasonal flower farming in summer and autumn as a complementary business.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In 2005, both companies started to specialise in the production of pot plants and bedding plants. At present, flower farming is the main point of focus for Montano Valtr s.r.o. Vegetable seedlings, however, have never truly disappeared from its spring product portfolio.<\/p>\n
